Introduction
Landkir supplied STUDIO PLUS with an Emporio Armani project, which only had typical construction info and a layout drawing on the 11th of Jan 2019. With a trade date of Monday 4th of February 2019 Studio Plus had no time to waste as the plans needed to be in council and approved ASAP.
Problem Statement
STUDIO PLUS had to convert the clients layout drawings to a COUNCIL READY PACK, prepare supporting documentation from scratch and obtain an Occupancy Certificate.
Solution
By making use of the STUDIO PLUS Council Template our Client knew that the information provided to council would suffice without any amendments as time was of the essence. The Studio Plus designers converted the layout drawings to a council ready pack… Meanwhile, the compliance team prepped the supporting council documentation and by the time the drawing had been completed the submission pack was good to go!
Time Frame
- Layout plans were received on the 16th of January 2019 and converted by Studio Plus to the COUNCIL TEMPLATE and the council submission pack was ready after just two working days.
- The plans got couriered and was submitted to council by the 29th of January
- APPROVALl was obtained by the 1st of February and the store could trade!
- On 4 Feb 2019 all the COC’s (certificate of compliance) that City of Joburg Building Inspectors required was received and sent to the building inspector.
- The Fire Clearance Certificate was received on 12 Feb
- On the 1st of March 2019 our Client received a copy of the Occupancy Certificate!!
Conclusion
... it took us just under 2 months from receiving the layouts on AutoCad from our client to complete the drawings, to receiving Council Approval and finally the Occupancy for the store!!
